MOORHEAD, Minn. – A pet rescue organization is being sued by a would-be client after the dog he was looking to adopt allegedly bit his cat.
According to a lawsuit filed Wednesday in Clay County District Court, Robert Myers, 29, of Moorhead, is asking 4 Luv of Dog Rescue for $6,500 in damages.
The complaint says Myers was looking to adopt a dog from the rescue and brought one home Jan. 10. The dog attacked his cat, the complaint says, breaking the cat’s jaw.
Myers’ complaint says the money is for “medical bills, hotel rooms, gas and lost wages due to the incident.”
