A case in Park Rapids, Minn., involving Darwin Schauer, a retired Lutheran lay pastor charged with several counts of criminal sexual conduct involving a minor girl, was continued, or postponed, Monday until May 14, according to a state district court official.

Schauer, served as a pastor in Trinity Lutheran in Lake George, Minn., for several years until he retired in 2008. He remains in the Hubbard County jail in Park Rapids under $1 million unconditional bond or $750,000 conditional bond, a jail official said Monday.

A prosecutor said more information is being sought by attorneys in the case, which involves allegations of criminal sexual conduct that began in 2009.
