Park River, N.D., man avoids jail time on burglaries

A Park River, N.D., man won't serve jail time in a string of burglaries in three North Dakota counties late last year, but he must pay $7,341 in restitution.

A Park River, N.D., man won't serve jail time in a string of burglaries in three North Dakota counties late last year, but he must pay $7,341 in restitution.

Zachary David Chyle, 20, who agreed to a plea agreement last week, was charged with 12 counts of either burglary or theft in Towner, Walsh and Nelson Counties.

Chyle will be on supervised probation for five years and must pay another $525 in court fees.

In Cando, Chyle was ordered to pay Neumann Rexall Drug $707 and Judy Gibbons Veterinary Service $1,640.

He must also pay Northern Plains Railroad in Fordville $4,444 and the Edinburg General Store $550.

According to court documents, he already paid restitution to Golden Valley Veterinary Service in Park River.
