The Alexandria Police Department found a pantless man carrying a sword when they responded to what they believed would be a simple break up of a fight at a local business at 12:43 p.m. on Wednesday.
Upon arrival, a store employee was holding a male party to the ground who was wearing nothing but a button up shirt and shoes. Witnesses at the scene indicated that the male was somewhat disgruntled and was carrying a samurai sword. The sword was contained in its carrying sheath and never brandished in a threatening manner, although he threatened to kill a store employee. He was subdued by an employee until officers arrived.
The suspect is in custody and formal charges are pending.
