Orin Hanevold
Orin Alan Hanevold, 45, of Thompson, ND, passed away Saturday, August 9, 2008 as a result of a heart attack while working on his backyard motocross track, a passion he shared with his sons.
Orin was born the son of Harold and Florence (Woinarowicz) Hanevold in Grafton, ND on September 28, 1962. He attended school in Grafton until 1977 when his family moved to Larimore, ND where he graduated in 1980. Orin's business career began at a small used car dealership, and using his business intuition and Christian values, he built Budget RV into the successful partnership it is today. He took great pride in being known for his work ethic and integrity.
He married Kindra Renfrow on April 20, 1985 at St. Stephens Catholic Church in Larimore, ND. They made their home in the Grand Forks area, currently residing near Thompson, ND. Orin and Kindra have three sons, Nash, Keaton, and Gunar. His sons were the joy of his life. He participated in many activities with his boys, including snowmobiling, dirt bike riding, hunting, fishing, camping, and boating. When the boys were wrestling or playing football, he was their biggest fan. Family was the center of Orin's life and compassion, respect, and honesty were his unwavering principles. He was dearly loved and respected by his family and friends.
Orin was a member of St. Jude's Catholic Church in Thompson, where he served on the parish council. He was a former member of the North Dakota National Guard.

Orin will be deeply missed by his wife, Kindra and sons, Nash, Keaton, and Gunar, all of Thompson, ND. Other survivors include his father, Harold (Marilyn) Hanevold, Gilby, ND; siblings, Janet (Alan) Nelson, Colorado Springs, CO, Randy Hanevold, Bemidji, MN, Gail (Tom Woodside) Hanevold, Bloomington, MN, Clarice (Alan) Cline, Phoenix, AZ, Lenore (Daniel) Pietruszewski, Stephen, MN, Morna (Roger) Gorder, Grafton, ND, Sharon (Brad) Wiest, Sartell, MN, Leslie (Mark) Wiegandt, Larimore, ND, and Grant (Jennifer) Hanevold, Logandale, NV; in-laws, Frank and Jo Ann Renfrow, Emerado, ND, and Sharon Kornack, Washburn, ND. His numerous nieces and nephews will sadly miss their uncle Orin.
He was preceded in death by his mother Florence Hanevold; a brother, Arlan Hanevold, and a nephew, Theodore Brett Larson.

Mass of Christian Burial: 1:30 p.m. Thursday, August 14, 2008 in Holy Family Catholic Church, 1018 18th Ave S., Grand Forks, ND.
Visitation: 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday with a 7:00 p.m. vigil service and 4:30 p.m. rosary service in St. Jude's Catholic Church, Thompson, ND only. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the liturgy in Holy Family Catholic Church, Grand Forks on Thursday.
Burial: St. John's Cemetery, Grafton, ND.
