DENVER - UND is heading back to the Frozen Four.

Chris Porter's wraparound goal with 10 minutes, 17 seconds remaining in overtime lifted UND to a 3-2 win over Minnesota in the NCAA West Regional championship game Sunday.

The Sioux (24-13-5) advance to their third straight Frozen Four and 17th in school history. UND now is 38-16 all time in the NCAA tournament, the best winning percentage (.704) in tournament history. The Sioux have won seven national titles, the last coming in 2000.

The Frozen Four will take place April 5-7 in St. Louis.

Porter, who was named the tournament's most outstanding player, went around the net and stuffed it in past Minnesota goalie Jeff Frazee.

UND avenged a 3-2 overtime loss to Minnesota (31-10-3) in the championship game of the Western Collegiate Hockey Association tournament March 17.

The Sioux beat Michigan 8-5 in the semifinals Saturday night.

Sioux goalie Philippe Lamoureux finished with 27 saves, including three in overtime.

UND will meet Boston College in the Frozen Four semifinals April 5.
