A Northwood, N.D., man accused of sexually assaulting another man pleaded not guilty Monday in state District Court.

Authorities said Leo Borgen, 44, and the 22-year-old victim from Northwood were drinking alcohol early Nov. 10. When the victim complained of a sore back, Borgen gave him two white pills; the victim later woke in Borgen's vehicle with his pants and underwear pulled past his knees and Borgen sleeping next to him, says an affidavit filed by the Grand Forks County Sheriff's Department.

Borgen admitted giving the victim two painkillers and having non-consensual oral sex with him, the affidavit says.

Prosecutors said Borgen has multiple felonies on his record and was convicted of sexual assault, a Class B misdemeanor, in Nelson County (N.D.) in 2007.

Borgen, who's being held in custody on a $20,000 bond, is charged with gross sexual imposition. In this case, it's a Class A felony with a maximum penalty of 20 years in prison and a $10,000 fine.
