North Dakota and tribal reservations have been awarded over $900,000 in federal funding, according to a news release.

The state received $681,159, Standing Rock Sioux Tribe received $80,861, Spirit Lake Tribe receive $66,936, Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa Indians received $62,318 and Sisseton-Wahpeton Oyate received $58,323.

These funds will be used to help protect traditions and cultural heritage through the state and on tribal reservations.
