The North Dakota Ballet Company was getting in shape this week for its annual recital at the Chester Fritz Auditorium in Grand Forks Friday.

Dancers of all ages leapt and tapped across the stage in a performance of rhythm and grace while rehearsing Thursday night.

Dancers honed a variety of styles for the recital, with a versatility the company prides itself in, Artistic Director Laura Dvorak said.

Dvorak said the annual show is a good chance to showcase different types of dance taught by the company. From jazz to classical ballet, students are given the opportunity to choose what they want to learn, and many students take multiple classes at a time.

Summer dance classes at the North Dakota Ballet Company begin June 1. More information can be found at their website here.
