North Dakota AFL-CIO Constitutional Convention happening this week

More than 100 members from many unions are gathering in Grand Forks today and Friday.

The union members are gathering for the North Dakota American Federation of Labor- Congress of Industrial Organizations (AFL-CIO) 60th annual Constitutional Convention.

The AFL-CIO convention is being held in the Grand Forks Ramada Inn, 1205 N. 43rd St, and started at 9 a.m. today.

Convention delegates will elect new leaders, discuss regional issues impacting working families and set the direction of the organization for the next year.

Speakers include Grand Forks Mayor Michael Brown, District 42 Representative Corey Mock and labor presidents from Minnesota, South Dakota and Manitoba.
