Norman C. Liedberg
Norman C. Liedberg, 95, of Thief River Falls, MN, passed away on Wednesday evening, August 14, 2008 at Oakland Park Nursing Home in Thief River Falls, MN.
Norman C. Liedberg was born on January 23, 1913 in the rural Florian, MN area, the son of Peter & Amanda (Lindstrom) Liedberg. On December 4, 1944, he married Alpha Risteigen in Oslo, MN. They made their home in Wright Township, Marshall County, MN where they had a farm and dairy operation. The land retains the mark of his stewardship. In 1990, Norman and Alpha moved to Thief River Falls.
He enjoyed working in his flower and vegetable gardens. Norman was a loyal Minnesota Twins fan.
He was a member of the Alma Free Lutheran Church in rural Argyle, MN.

Left to mourn his passing are his wife, Alpha; five children, Neil (Claire Ann) Liedberg of Thief River Falls, MN, Gay (Wayne) Galles of Moorhead, MN, Paul (Maryanne Dickey) of Dillingham, AK, Dean Liedberg of Boston, MA and James Liedberg of Warren, MN; five grandchildren, Nathan (Francine) Liedberg, Sheri (Andrew) Lallier and Jill, Karen and Aaron Galles; four great-grandchildren, Hailey, Shayla, Nolan and Zadin; two sisters-in-law, Gladys Haarstad of Crookston, MN and Ruth Liedberg of Goodridge, MN; brother-in-law, A.W. (Peggy) Risteigen of Oslo, MN and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Elmer and two sisters, Ruth and Mildred.
Funeral Service: 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 19, 2008 at Alma Free Lutheran Church in rural Argyle, MN.
Visitation: One hour before services at the church.
Interment: Alma Lutheran Cemetery, rural Argyle, MN.
