New passport fees coming soon

The Grand Forks County Finance and Tax Department received word Wednesday from the U.S State Department that passport fees will increase July 13, said Renee Powell, who handles passport applications for the county.

- Passports for those 16 and older will increase from $75 to $110.

- Passports for those younger than 16 will increase from $60 to $80.

- A passport card costs $30, up from $20, for 16 and older, and will cost $15 for those 16 and younger.

- Expedited processing fees remain $60.

All transactions carry a $25 processing fee and additional photo costs, officials said.
