NEW LONDON, Minn.  ---- A sixth-grade teacher from the New London-Spicer School District remains on nondisciplinary paid administrative leave while school officials conduct an internal investigation on a complaint filed against the instructor.

The nature of the allegations in the complaint was not made public, but in an interview, Superintendent Paul Carlson identified the teacher as Jair Toedter, who teaches sixth grade at  the middle school and is the high school wrestling coach.

According to Carlson, Toedter was placed on paid administrative leave on April 30 and was told he could not be on the school grounds without the permission of administrators.

Carlson said it's hoped the investigation, which is being conducted by Middle School Principal Trish Perry, will be finished by the end of this week.
