NDSU president finalists down to three: Bresciani, Miller and Gardner

FARGO - Dean Bresciani, Gary Miller and John Gardner are the three North Dakota State University president finalists who will interview with the state Board of Higher Education.

FARGO - Dean Bresciani, Gary Miller and John Gardner are the three North Dakota State University president finalists who will interview with the state Board of Higher Education.

The search committee unanimously selected those three names to forward to the board, which meets on May 24.

The committee had no discussion and made the decision within minutes.

The committee did not select Bill Ruud, a University of North Dakota alumnus who is president of Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania.

Bresciani is adjunct professor and former vice president for student affairs at Texas A&M University. Miller is provost and vice president for academic affairs and research at Wichita (Kan.) State University. Gardner is vice president for economic development and global engagement for Washington State University.
