Northern Iowa, coached by former UND player and assistant Ben Jacobson, fell to Michigan State 59-52 on Friday night Sweet 16 game in the NCAA men's basketball tournament.
Michigan State will meet Tennessee in Sunday's regional final.
Northern Iowa closed its season at 30-5.
