FARGO - Fargo's public works director says it'll probably be a couple of weeks before the city is cleaned up and streets are widened from the last storm.
Al Weigel said crews have been clearing snow away from downtown and will now be moving to other areas of the city, first cleaning up emergency routes and arterial roads before getting into residential areas.
Currently, the most common complaint to Public Works is about residential streets getting narrower and narrower because of the snow, Weigel said. For those neighborhood cleanups, the ice left over from late January rains is still causing some problems, he said.
"Anytime we try and widen right now, we're putting big boulders of ice and everything else into the driveways, so we've got to be careful when we're going to widen or whether we should just leave it as is," he said.
