The North Dakota Supreme Court has upheld the suspension of East Central District Judge Wickham Corwin who faced allegations that he sexually harassed a court reporter.

The court issued a unanimous opinion today, concluding that there’s convincing evidence that Corwin violated the state’s code of judicial conduct.

Corwin’s term as a judge in Cass County ends in December, and he’s announced that he will not seek re-election. In light of this, the justices ordered that Corwin be suspended for a month without pay starting Dec. 1 and that he be charged $11,958 for the cost of the disciplinary proceedings.
