The State Historical Society of North Dakota is now accepting nominations for awards recognizing outstanding achievement in the field of history.
Nominations must be submitted by Friday, Sept. 7. An awards banquet will be held at the 24th annual Governor's Conference on North Dakota History on Friday, Oct. 26, in Bismarck.
Nominations may be made in four categories: excellence in local history award, association for excellence in local history award, heritage profile honor award and North Dakota person of history award.
