DEVILS LAKE - Brittany Wirth and North Star's impressive season will continue.
Wirth recorded 28 kills to lead North Star to a 25-21, 25-14, 19-25, 25-10 win over Lakota in the semifinals of the North Dakota Region 4 volleyball tournament on Tuesday.
North Star plays Langdon, which has won nine straight region titles, in the championship match on Thursday in Devils Lake. Maddock plays Lakota in the third-place match at 6 p.m., followed by the championship.
Nicole Larson added 15 kills and two service aces for North Star.
Teri Hamel led Lakota with 22 assists and five service aces.

The Bearcats improved to 32-1, while Lakota dropped to 23-9.
Langdon 3, Maddock 0: Haley Breyer recorded 10 kills to lead Landgon to a 25-5, 25-12, 25-20 win over Maddock in a region semifinal.
Erin Barta had 20 assists for Langdon, which improved to 33-7.
Alisha Knutson had six kills to pace Maddock, which dropped to 22-6.
Courtney Becker and Rachel Darling added eight and seven kills, respectively, for Langdon.
