JAMESTOWN, N.D. Six area athletes are on North Dakota high school all-state volleyball teams, as selected by a vote of coaches.
Area players named to the Class A all-state team are Sarah Smith of Grand Forks Red River and Ashley Privratsky of Devils Lake.
Area players chosen to the Class B all-state team are Jenny Heggen of Park River/Fordville-Lankin, Brittany Reineke of Thompson, Brittany Wirth of North Star and Janae Klindt of Langdon.
Here's a look at the area all-state selections:
Smith: The senior hitter had 208 kills, 48 service aces, 251 digs and 27 blocks for the Red River team that finished seventh at the state Class A tournament.

Privratsky: The senior had 292 kills, 433 digs and 34 service aces. The all-around standout has made a verbal commitment to play basketball at UND.
Heggen: The senior was the main player at the net for the Aggies team that was runner-up in the Region 2 tournament. Heggen led the Aggies with 365 kills, 61 service aces and 91 blocks. She also had 126 digs.
Reineke: The senior was an all-around standout for the Tommies, who finished fifth at the state Class B tournament. Reineke had 372 kills, 335 digs and 43 service aces this season.
Wirth: The senior was a force at the net for the Region 4 runner-up North Star team. Wirth had 493 kills, 103 blocks and 46 aces for the 32-2 team. She went over the 1,000 mark for career kills.
Klindt: The senior libero anchored the defense for the Langdon team that finished third at the state Class B tournament. Klindt broke her own school single-season record with 658 digs and also had 98 service aces.
