Two people were brought to the hospital by ambulance after a crash near Devils Lake Wednesday afternoon, according to the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
Patricia Platz, 21 of Devils Lake, was southbound on Highway 20 driving a 2007 Toyota Camry just before 3 p.m., a press release said. She braked and steered right as a vehicle ahead slowed, but her car entered the west ditch and then vaulted over an approach, the release said.
Platz and two of her three passengers were not wearing seatbelts and sustained non-life threatening injuries, the release said. Platz and one passenger were taken to St. Alexius Hospital in Devils Lake by ambulance, the release said.
A 3-year-old child was wearing a seatbelt and was not injured, according to the Highway Patrol.
The investigation is ongoing.
