The National Multiple Sclerosis Society fundraiser Walk MS Grand Forks will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday at Century Elementary School. Check-in is from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. and lunch will follow the walk.
The event will start and finish at Century Elementary School. Individuals and teams can still register on event day but are encouraged to register online at www.myMSwalk.org as soon as possible for planning purposes.
There is no registration fee associated with Walk MS, however participants are encouraged to seek pledges. Participants who raise more than $100 will receive a Walk MS T-shirt at the event. Those raising $500 or more will receive the T-shirt and an orange fleece Mission Mover scarf plus additional incentives.
The walk will follow a 2.5 mile route traveling 34th Street South between 17th Avenue South and Demers Avenue, and then returning on the fitness trail. Following the walk, all walkers are invited back to Century Elementary for light lunch including Subway sandwiches, chips and cookies.
