The cities of Grand Forks and East Grand Forks have scheduled citywide spraying for mosquitoes Tuesday from 8:30 p.m. to midnight.
The cities have scheduled mosquito spraying because West Nile virus has been identified in local birds and mosquitoes.
To help reduce the risk of getting West Nile virus, the Grand Forks Health Department recommends people avoid mosquito bites by using an insect repellent with deet, limiting time outdoors between dusk and dawn, avoiding exposing skin and eliminating standing water on their property.
