An 18-year-old Moorhead woman who pleaded guilty to a second-degree drug-sales charge was sentenced Thursday in Clay County District Court to four years in prison.
Jasmine Joy Bentley was one of two people arrested in a prescription-pill bust in May that authorities called Clay County's largest-ever illegal pill seizure.
Nearly 4,500 pills, with an estimated street value of $63,000, were found in a May 5 search of a Moorhead apartment. The investigation was prompted by two burglaries at a pharmacy in Barnesville, Minn., police said.
Five other felony drug charges against Bentley were dropped, and she was given credit for 233 days she has already served in the Clay County Jail.

The other person charged, Damion Paul Proffit, 20, of Fargo, pleaded guilty to a first-degree charge of drug sales and was sentenced on Oct. 11 to six years and two months in state prison with credit for 161 days served.
