MINOT -- Minot police followed shoeprints in the snow to make arrests in two burglaries over the weekend.

The police followed the shoeprints to a trailer home in Jefferson Trailer Court and a search warrant was issued and evidence was found. Shelah Palmer, 18, and a 17-year-old were then arrested for felony burglary walking along a nearby road.

In the burglaries, merchandise was stolen from Magic City Beverage about 11 a.m. Sunday and in the other burglary a man working in the city’s public works building about 5 p.m. heard a disturbance and found a window was broken and entry made into the building. A male was seen running from the building wearing a backpack.
