Pre-fair discount admission tickets are $8 and good for any age, any day of the fair. Before the fair: Mighty Midway and Kidway ride and game tickets, $10/sheet of 20; Blue Ribbon Bargain books, $4. Admission during the fair: Adults 13 to 64, $11; seniors 65 and older, $9; kids 5 to 12, $8; kids 5 and younger, free. Midway/Kidway tickets at the fair: 75 cents per ticket, $20/sheet of 30; $30/sheet of 50. Blue Ribbon Bargain Books, $5.

Aug. 27: Hop On Transit Day; State Fair Express Bus fare is reduced to $3 round-trip. All express and regular route bus riders may request a coupon for $2 off a regular fair admission ticket purchased at the gate. The Hop On Transit discount does not apply to guests using pre-fair discount tickets or those using free Park and Ride services.

Many vendors feature special day deals on Thrifty Thursday, Aug. 21, Seniors and Kids Day, Aug. 25; Seniors Day, Aug. 28; and Kids and Last Chance Day, Sept. 1.
New this year, Sunset Sunday Savings evening promotion features a minimum of 20 percent off at participating vendors from 8 p.m. until close Aug. 24 and 31.
Early Bird specials are offered weekdays until 1 p.m. on all Mighty Midway and Kidway rides, games and concessions. All-day Mighty Midway and Kidway specials are offered on Thrifty Thursday, Aug. 21; Hop On Transit Day, Aug. 27; and Kids Days, Aug. 25 and Labor Day, Sept. 1.
The State Fair Blue Ribbon Bargain Book features 100 coupons worth more than $500 in savings on food, merchandise and attractions. The Bargain Book features a bonus coupon for a free ride or admission at one of the five favorite fair attractions, including the Butterfly House, Pirate Island Shootout, Space Tower, Sky Ride or Ye Old Mill. Coupons are valid all 12 days of the fair. A preview is available on the fair's Web site.
