A man turned himself in to police after the shooting in the 2500 block of Knollwood Drive, New Brighton Police Chief Bob Jacobson said.

Police were called about 8:30 p.m. on a report that two people had been shot by a neighbor. Upon arrival, officers found a man fatally shot and a woman injured by gunfire.

The woman was taken to Hennepin County Medical Center, in Minneapolis, where her condition was unavailable late Monday night.

Jacobson said there was a history of feuding between the neighbors, who live near Silver Lake Road and County Road H in the northern Twin Cities suburb.
