HUDSON, Wis. -- A Minnesota man accused of sending pictures of his genitalia and lewd messages to teens over their cellphones obtained their phone numbers through his job at Verizon, authorities said.
Barton G. Scott, 32, of Oakdale, Minn., faces two felony counts of exposing a child to harmful material and three misdemeanor counts of computer message-threaten/obscenity.
According to the complaint, Scott gained access to the cellphone numbers of two 15-year-old Hudson girls through his job at Verizon in Hudson. Both girls spoke with Scott when he assisted them at the store.
A third Twin Cities victim, age 16, was included in the complaint. She came in contact with Scott while he worked at a previous job at a Sprint store in Maple Grove, Minn.

The teens told police they received messages and photos within hours of being in the store. Police traced the messages and photos to phones and email addresses used by Scott, authorities said.
Authorities searched Scott’s work locker at Verizon and allegedly found 20 pieces of paper and Post-It notes with female names, their email addresses, usernames and passwords.
Scott’s next court appearance is set for July 24.
Attempts to reach a Verizon manager to determine Scott’s employment status were unsuccessful.
