MINNEAPOLIS -- A Virginia, Minn., man pleaded guilty Thursday in federal court to kidnapping his estranged wife.

Timothy Caskey, 42, admitted to kidnapping Roberta Caskey in July 2011 and driving her across state lines against her will.

Roberta Caskey was walking with her son and a friend on July 14, 2011, in Virginia when her estranged husband kidnapped her.

“In addition, Caskey pleaded guilty to robbing the Great Southern Bank in Ottawa, Kansas, on July 15, 2011,” according to a statement from the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Minnesota.

Roberta Caskey was found Aug. 8, 2011, in Matamoros, Mexico, shortly after Timothy Caskey was arrested there.
