ITASCA COUNTY -- A Brooklyn Park, Minn., man was found drowned in an Itasca County lake Tuesday morning.

Michael Angelo Olynick, 58, was discovered in Cutfoot Sioux Lake just north of Battle Point at about 9:20 a.m., after the Itasca County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a person floating in the water and a boat going in a circular direction.

The Itasca County Sheriff’s Office, Itasca County Search and Rescue and personnel from Leech Lake and the Department of Natural Resources also responded to the scene.
