Minnesota DOT worker hurt in mower rollover

A Minnesota Department of Transportation equipment operator was injured Monday when the tractor, with an attached mower, she was driving overturned in a ditch.

A Minnesota Department of Transportation equipment operator was injured Monday when the tractor, with an attached mower, she was driving overturned in a ditch.

Barbara Garthus, 48, Middle River, Minn., suffered non-life-threatening injuries in the incident, which occurred at about 10:50 a.m. along U.S. Highway 59 south of Newfolden, Minn., according to a report from Minnesota State Patrol.

She was driving a John Deere 5085 and backing up in a ditch when it tipped over and came to rest in the ditch, according to the report.

Garthus was treated for her injuries at Sanford Health in Thief River Falls.
