ST. PAUL -- A Minneapolis man killed his ex-girlfriend’s new boyfriend and another man in St. Paul because he was angry about their breakup and jealous of her new relationship, according to charges filed Friday.
Prosecutors charged Jamaine Jamie Williams, 24, with two counts of murder and one count of attempted murder. Dominic Larrel Jasper, 26, and Kavonta Lashawn Pratt, 23, lost their lives in the West Seventh neighborhood. Another man was very seriously injured.
Williams’ criminal record discloses a man who’s been carrying a gun since he was a teen, has dabbled in crimes of violence, and whose inner circle includes robbers and murderers.
The shootings occurred in his ex-girlfriend’s apartment. The other man who died was her roommate’s boyfriend.
