EAST LANSING, Mich. -- UND junior Alex Robb fired an opening-round 72 on Saturday at the season-opening Fossum Invitational, hosted by Michigan State at Forest Akers West Golf Course.
Robb's two-under 72 left him tied for fifth place through the first 18 holes of the country's longest-running collegiate golf tournament. The Chanhassen, Minn., native slipped slightly in the second round, carding a 77 that has him tied for 21st place heading into today's final 18 holes.
Michigan State leads the 12-team field by three shots over IUPUI, and by four strokes over Oakland. UND is in 10th place.
