• Milton, N.D.: Milton Memorial Day services will be at 10 a.m. May 27 at the Little Star Theatre. A noon lunch will follow at the American Legion Club.
• Pekin, N.D.: A Memorial Day military service will begin at 10:30 a.m. May 28 at the Veterans Memorial at Pekin, followed by an 11 a.m. service at Pekin Lutheran Church. The Pekin American Legion Auxiliary will host a noon luncheon at the Pekin Community Center.
• Pembina, N.D.: A series of programs commemorating Memorial Day will take place May 28 at Pembina State Museum beginning with a memorial service at 10:30 a.m. in the museum. Kern-Thompson American Legion Post 77 of Pembina; Canadian Legion Posts; and families of prisoners of war, those missing in action and soldiers deceased will take part. Visitation to gravesites will follow, and a Legion Honor Guard will lay wreaths. A wreath ceremony on the Pembina River Bridge will honor those lost at sea.
