FARGO -- Meetings are slated this week for landowners and downstream stakeholders who would potentially be affected by a proposed diversion project for the Fargo-Moorhead area.
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will hold an event Monday at Fargo's Centennial Hall for property owners whose land may be affected or acquired for a diversion project.
A similar meeting will be held Tuesday at the Hjemkomst Center in Moorhead. On Wednesday, the corps will hold a meeting in the Hendrum, Minn., civic center to discuss the potential impact of a diversion on downstream communities.
All of the meetings will be from 6 to 9 p.m., with a presentation starting at 7 p.m., according to information on the city of Fargo's website.
