POINT LOOKOUT, Mo. - Mayville State is going to the quarterfinal round of the NAIA Division II national tournament for the second year in a row.
Ron Howard scored 28 points to lead Mayville State past Florida Memorial 88-72 on Friday night in second-round action.
The Comets will play Cedarville (Ohio) at 8 tonight in a quarterfinal game.
Monty Rogers added 21 points for Mayville State, which improved to 25-8.
