A sign hangs on the Manvel Community Museum Friday evening to advertise the museum's fundraiser barbecue, a part of this weekend's Manvel Days.
"Our goal with the fundraiser is to get the electrical complete, and to restore the freight door on the side of the museum," said Manvel Museum Board President Cindy Borgerson.
Manvel Days started Friday with the Rivers Edge Golf Tournament, the barbecue and a social at the American Legion and Racers bars in Manvel. The festivities will continue throughout the day Saturday with parades, games for kids, a street dance, a car show, softball, food and various other activities and events.
