OGEMA, Minn.
A woman was arrested after a man was stabbed in the chest in an apparent domestic assault here Tuesday night, Becker County Sheriff Tim Gordon said.
Authorities responded to the incident at 9:11 p.m. in Ogema, which is about 20 miles north of Detroit Lakes.
Officers arrived to find Phillip Daniel Kier, 33, suffering from a serious chest wound caused by a stabbing, Gordon said in a news release.
Kyla Mae VanPelt, 26, of Ogema, who was described in the news release as Kier's "significant other," was arrested without incident. She is being held in the Becker County Jail.

Kier was airlifted by LifeFlight helicopter to MeritCare Hospital in Fargo. His condition is unknown.
Investigators are still looking into the cause of the domestic incident and details of the assault, Gordon said.
