FARGO - A Moorhead man charged in the drug-related stabbing death of a Fargo man in March has pleaded not guilty.
Arlen Clapper, 46, pleaded not guilty to one count of AA murder in Cass County District Court Wednesday.
He and his children, Tamara, 22, and Alexander, 19, both also of Moorhead, were charged with a fourth person, Wade Garrett, in the drug-related stabbing of 26-year-old Rolandas House in the Cash Wise grocery store parking lot March 14.
Garrett, who pleaded guilty in the case, told investigators the four plotted to lure House to a sham drug deal to rob him several hours after House stole drugs and money from Alexander Clapper.
Garrett said that he had fought with House and stabbed him using a knife Alexander Clapper had given him, then gave the money he found in House's pocket to Arlen Clapper.
