A McLaughlin, S.D, man accused of sexually abusing a child on the Turtle Mountain reservation pleaded guilty Tuesday in federal court, the U.S. attorney's office said in a news release.
Francis Baker Jr. acknowledged committing sexual acts with a child younger than 12 years old between September 1995 and August 2002, the release says.
Baker, 35, is set to be sentenced Aug. 23 in Bismarck on the charge of aggravated sexual abuse of child, which carries a maximum penalty of life in prison and a $250,000 fine.
