ST. CLOUD, Minn. -- A man found dead Tuesday east of St. Cloud has been identified as a central Minnesota resident missing since December.

The Midwest Medical Examiner’s Office identified the body as that of Jamie Wylie, 31 of Foley, according to a report Wednesday from WJON radio. The cause of death was pending.

Benton County Sheriff Brad Bennett said deputies responded Tuesday afternoon to a report of a body along County Road 75, according to WJON. The investigation into the death continues.

Wylie, a Cottage Grove native, had a wife and a young son. He was last seen at a friend’s house in St. Cloud on the afternoon of Dec. 9. Relatives reported him missing Dec. 15.

Foley Police Chief Katie McMillin said in December that police were told Wylie left his friend’s apartment upset and hadn’t been seen since. He did not have a car at the apartment, and it was unclear how he left.
