A 19-year-old man was injured early Saturday evening at a railway crossing at South Third Street in downtown Grand Forks while attempting to cross between railcars of a stopped train, police said.
The man apparently became entangled on an apparatus of the train and when he jumped off he twisted or broke his ankle, a police officer said.
The man, who police believe is a Grand Forks resident, was taken by ambulance to Altru Health System.
