A Grand Forks man faces charges for possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver.
Ivan David Maysonet, 40, could spend up to 10 years in prison if convicted.
An affidavit for his arrest said police were doing surveillance at a home where they believed someone with a warrant had been staying. A red Chevy Tahoe left the house about 5:15 p.m. Friday and police stopped the car in the University Avenue Valley Dairy parking lot, the affidavit said.
Maysonet had two warrants out for his arrest for violating restraining orders.
Police allegedly found a bag containing a crystallized substance in his pockets. The substance later tested positive for methamphetamine and weighed over 8 grams, the affidavit said. Officers determined the amount was too large to be for personal use, according to the affidavit.

Maysonet is scheduled to enter a plea Feb. 11.
