Crookston, M.N. (WDAY-TV) – A man crashed his pickup truck and died following a high speed pursuit with police in Crookston Sunday night.
The Polk County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that a man had been killed in the crash.
A witness tells WDAY that the adult male driver was traveling at a high rate of speed when he drove in to a concrete underpass on 6th Street.
The pickup truck exploded upon impact and burst in to flames.
The witness to the crash, who works at a nearby restaurant, told WDAY she recognized the driver as a longtime Crookston resident.

The Crookston Police Department said it would not be releasing details about the crash until Monday.
However, the witness told WDAY officers were in pursuit of the pickup truck when the crash took place.
