NAPOLEON, N.D. -- A farmer has died in a grain bin accident in south-central North Dakota.

Logan County Sheriff Andrew Bartholomaus told KXMB-TV in Bismarck that Marvin Grenz of Napoleon was working in the grain bin Saturday morning and became partially buried. He was able to call for help. After the sheriff and an ambulance crew arrived at the farm, it took eight minutes to pull Grenz out. But Grenz, 83, had already died.

In all, Grenz was in the grain for nearly 40 minutes.

Another Napoleon area farmer died in a grain bin accident in February.
