A man died Tuesday after a tractor rollover northeast of East Grand Forks.

His identity was not released by the Polk County Sheriff's Department, which responded to the incident along with the East Grand Forks Fire Department.

Both were dispatched at about 8:30 p.m. to a farmstead on 130th Street Southwest, one-half mile east of Minnesota Highway 220.

A John Deere tractor was lying on its side in a ditch near the road. First responders had positioned the victim nearby and covered him with a sheet. Friends or family members mourned nearby.

The victim was later taken from the scene by an Altru ambulance.
