LITCHVILLE, N.D. -- A 71-year-old Litchville man died Tuesday afternoon after his car rolled and he was ejected from the vehicle, the North Dakota Highway Patrol said.
The man, who was not immediately identified, was westbound on Barnes County Road 38 a half-mile north of Litchville when the crash happened at 3:30 p.m.
The patrol said the man was driving a 1988 Chevrolet Corvette convertible on the paved road when it gradually drifted into the north ditch, where it rotated clockwise and rolled. The driver was not wearing a seat belt.
The car and driver came to rest in a soybean field.
Damage to the car was estimated at $12,000. The crash is under investigation.
