Kennedy Bridge between Grand Forks and East Grand Forks will be closed Wednesday night and Thursday morning as construction there continues.
The bridge closes from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m., while crews replace a support pier on the bridge. It had previously closed overnight in June, when the bridge was lifted off a support pier and reset on a temporary structure.
Traffic will be detoured over the downtown Sorlie Bridge.
The bridge recently underwent a three-day closure July 28-30 while concrete was poured on the bridge's eastern end. Two more similar closures are expected in September.
Bridge traffic has been reduced to one lane in each direction since late winter, with work on the bridge surface, painting on the bridge structure and construction of a new pedestrian walkway in coming months.
