Justin Bieber charged with misdemeanor vandalism for egging his neighbor

Justin Bieber has been charged with one count of misdemeanor vandalism after allegedly egging his Calabasas, Calif., neighbor's home, according to a statement from the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office.

Justin Bieber has been charged with one count of misdemeanor vandalism after allegedly egging his Calabasas, Calif., neighbor's home, according to a statement from the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office.

The 20-year-old “Boyfriend” singer is set to be arraigned on Wednesday at 1:30 p.m., though the D.A.'s Office has indicated he will not be present.

As TheWrap previously reported, after Bieber allegedly plastered his neighbor's home back in January, the Sheriff's Office originally recommended that the young singer be charged with a felony. It's unclear precisely why the D.A. is charging him with only a misdemeanor.

This is far from Bieber's only scrap with the law the past six months. He was arrested for DUI in Miami Beach, Fla., earlier this year and he was charged with assault in Toronto back in January after allegedly hitting a limo driver.

It's still unknown what may have prompted the alleged egging.
