Interstate 29 from Fargo to the Canadian border has been closed by the North Dakota Department of Transportation.
The DOT closed the interstate because of areas of zero visibility, blowing and drifting snow, and dangerous driving conditions, according to a news release.
The DOT has also extended the closure of Interstate 94 between Valley City and Fargo. Eastbound and westbound I-94 lanes are now closed from Dickinson to Fargo.
A no travel advisory is in effect for Grand Forks, Devils Lake and surrounding areas because of strong winds, low visibility, blowing and drifting snow creating hazardous driving conditions. Motorists in the area are encouraged not to travel.
